Met Adam at lunch for a short tempo in anticipation of the Saltair Half on Saturday. Idea was 3 at 5:49.9 which is my target pace. We warmed up 3 and then did 5:48, 5:43 and 5:45 on Wasatch Blvd. There are some minor manageable small hills on this route but it is generally pretty honest. There was a bit of a headwind at the turnaround. At 2.5 I was really working to hold pace but I made it ok. I forgot to bring some faster shoes so I wore my brooks which are my back up pair at my offce. 1:07:33 total.

Not sure what to expect on Saturday. Still feeling pretty ho hum about running currently.

heebie jeebies - I know this spot well. She must've been playing with her phone.

Take it as a good sign than you can pound out sub-6 miles while feeling ho-hum about running. I'm looking forward to the report.

Expect a rain/snow combination, but that's what happens at every race on that road!

Thanks Kam. I was hoping a couple days off would reignite the fire but no luck.

Congratulations to your wife on winning her city council election.

Jake - I don't mind the precipitation as long as there isn't much wind. If it's windy, I will probably just coast.

From Jake K on Wed, Nov 13, 2013 at 15:08:29 from 199.190.170.24

You'll coast in one direction (probably the way out)... the second half will be less coast-y :-)
