Easy miles at lunch going through the U and down Guardsman/1500E. Mid to upper 80s and I was slower going back up the hill. 28:12 out and 32:06 back.

Very frustrated with my continued inability to wake up early and get a run in. Two mornings in a row I've gotten up and out of bed and then talked myself out of it. Toe feels good as new :)

We've all been there before on the going back to bed thing. It's certainly easier if you are meeting someone, but I know that's not always a possibility.

I've gotten into the habit and don't have problems getting up to run anymore, but I used to struggle a lot with it. I would wake up and then decide "Nah, I can sleep and run later".

I found that the best way to overcome that for me was to repeat in my mind 3-5 times before I went to sleep "I will get up and run tomorrow. I will get up and run tomorrow". I plant that in my mind, make the decision the night before if you will, and it worked for me.

But, anytime I thought I'm going to try to get up and run or I may get up and run, it failed almost always.

Thanks Riles. It's all about the night before. Are you willing to go on less than six hours or is that part of the discipline?

I am willing to do it, but I am pretty good at getting to bed before 10:00. So, it's rare that have to go on less than six hours.

We actually cancelled our satellite TV service two months ago and since then going to bed early has been easy. But now that college football has started I'm craving tv again.
