Another 20 minute Sunnyside run. Best run of the week. No rear pain until 2.6 and no front pain, which is what matters most. I intentionally slowed down but still somehow managed a 7:02 pace. Feeling strong. Did a 10 minute warm and cool on the stationary bike, which helps the run fo sho.

Once you get a little slower, we'll be able to go for a run together again!

My doc is Blackham and he is a funny guy. He said that now that he is old (just turned 40), his easy runs are in the 7-8 minute pace range. So I took that as a license to allow myself a little quicker pace, which I call natural pace. I don't think it matters much with the total volume I'm doing. 55 minutes in three days!

So there's hope for me to drop the pace of my easy runs once I turn 40.

You will likely be much much wiser by then. The beliefs you hold dear now will be scoffed at by old man never slower than 6:30 Jake.

I sure hope I stick to my natural ("enjoy the run") pace and something tells me it will never get that fast! :-)

Oh how I miss the dancing. What is the blog but a place to be educated. And reeducated. And miseducated. I am convinced that your stubbornness is a virtue.

From Jake K on Thu, Dec 04, 2014 at 15:43:00 from 199.190.170.24

I'm confused. How do slow easy days make me stubborn?

From Josh E on Thu, Dec 04, 2014 at 15:53:48 from 205.235.104.4

Your concept of a slow easy day is not shared unanimously. And you bang the drum constantly. I got it three days in.

From Jake K on Thu, Dec 04, 2014 at 15:56:47 from 199.190.170.24

Point taken. I'll shut up about it.

Please don't. I wanted to write something to make sure you understood that I appreciate the comments and they do affect my thinking. I wanted you to understand that I find humor in it but never annoyance.
