On my way to work, I saw guy jogging sunnyside up. He was simultaneously bouncing a racquetball from hand to hand. Is there a sane explanation?

Not necessarily sane, but bouncing a tennis ball around worked for Steve Nash...

Your knowledge of all things Steve Nash is astonishing.

Perhaps even more impressive that I remember reading that SI article when I was 11 years old.

Did you fancy yourself Wee Magic at the time?

I think I was just relieved that Michael Jordan had un-retired by that point.

I LOVE bouncing a ball as I run. Whenever I come across a tennis or golf ball on a run, I always pick it up and start bouncing. Makes the miles fly by.
