2 super easy in the hills behind work in 20 minutes. I was seeking a spot for some clandestine hill blasts and I think I found a good one. Back at work, I did another 15 minutes on the bike and 10 minutes of targeted stretching.

The hamstring feels the same as yesterday and hurts worst when I am running uphill at a faster pace. I am not worried about it.

I was at 167 this morning on the digital scale in my bathroom. That's a low outside of after a super long run. Interesting it came during recovery - does anyone know why?

Maybe your muscle mass is atrophying - muscle is heavier than fat; so, although you're lighter, you're fatter:)

I had a similar thought, but that's some fast paced atrophy.

My other guess was my body isn't storing up energy for runs like it was because of the low volume.

That sounds like it might carry more credence than my idea - I've got fat on the brain at moment; I'm hungry and I've just eaten two salad sandwiches. Better go to bed before I start on the cakes.

Josh,

last year when I couldn't run for three weeks and then for the next month I did just some minimum mileage, my weight when down from 70kg to 67kg. For me it is the lack of appetite, when I don't run much I am not constantly hungry and my caloric intake goes down. I am not sure this explanation is valid for everyone, but for me there is always a strong correlation between low weight and low miles.

Cammillo - d'accordo. I think that's it.
